Thoaccuniulatedlund hasbeen increased by tho year's operations by £132,501, and at ito end of tho year amounted to £1,980,297. Tho tables tho statement of the buainois as at tho end of tho yoar, show that, as ■compared with the previous year, less policies have run off tho books, the iui|irovo»:e!it being no less than £72,679 the decioase in the |io iciea laj'ted being a marked feature. The pciiiunence of the now business obtained is one of the things desired by lite companies, and it is satisfactoiy to note that tho amount of the net inereaso of the business has been continuously improving for somo yoars past. At the end of the year the total burmess in force on ;:0,310 policies was £b,030,220 in addition to reveraionaiy bonuses of £544,597.
