The usual monthly meetingfif the Board was held on tJaturday, there being present Messrs A. Matthews (chairman), Martin, Hume, Nix, Harris, MoLeod, and J. Donald.

From Mr< C. Phillips asking,pay. ment for clearing and deepening drams, also complaining of the awkwardileas of the bridge on Ward's line close to the Knoll.

From Mr Douglas asking for £7los for work on.thn bridge traok from Martinborough-Tahaoa road to Mr Adams'. It was resolved that amount be paid.

From Mr 0. Phillips asking permission to drive stock through tho Morrison's Bush gravel pit. From Mr J. 8. Cundy complaining that the drain up Phillips'line had not been oompleted. —lt was decided that Mr Phillips be asked to complete the drain as soon as possible. From Mr W. G. Beard and Mr Harrison re the road to Anderson's at Woodside,

Several reports on the progress of surveying were then read.

After lunch the Overseer's, report The Overseer a bridge near Maryborough was not very strong it was decided that a notice be put up to prrf traotion engines and other heavy traffic It was decided that Mr Thompson survey necessary gravel pits along roads to taken through native lands. _ Mr Martin remarked that, while riding in from Maryborough hi) had notioed a heap of rubbish, on the district road and asked what, was the best course to pursue in the matter As this was a police offence it was decided that ib be left to the local constable,
