A large number of people' gathered to see the start, and several persons in buggies and on horseback followed the race, All the starters (five innumber)looked well and were sent away to time by. Mr F. 0. Lewis, who acted as starter and timekeeper.. A. : Caselberg and W. Jeffries having a start of ten. minutes,, L. Caselberg: seven minutes.and'a half, and Cooper Bmto 28secs.
