WELLINGTON LAND BOARD.

The adjourned meeting of the Land Board was held at the Borfrd's Offices on Tuesday. Present—Meseia J. H. Baker (Commissioner), F. Pirani, T, W, Fisher, W. A, Fitzherbert and A, W. Hogg, M.H.R, The Pahiatua County Council wrote, applying to be protected for back sales on forfeited section 60, Blook I Makuri, which is to be offered for sale on May 25, It was decided to give notice to applicants at the ballot that the section is liable to a claim for a special rate. With reference to the application of the Pahiatua County Council for payment of rates due by certain village homestead settlement celeotors, it was resolved," that the Board considers it inadvisable to take afi.v actioa in the direction of assisting to collect any small amounts by forfeiting the selector's interest in the land, and the Board would recommend the lo body to exhaust every possible means befove doing so." t Mr L.
