Clifford, piano,. C. Winchester violin and G. Gray, cornet), am besides a programmo of twenty-fou dancers, sovoral extras were played b; Miss Anderson, Messrs Bunny aui McLean. A first class supper wa elegantly laid out, and under tho direc supervisionof MesdamesTully, Colter Hodgn, Wood and Fuller, the inne wants of the feßtive throng were well attended to. Messrs Bright Loasby, Izard and F. H, Wood ir their capacities as Masters of Gere monies, arranged the dances and looked alter the strangers in perfect style. In a great measure it was due to their energy, that the gathering proved suoh an enjoyable one. Tho dresses worn by some of the ladies ware unusually pretty, and it would be a hard matter to select tho belle, but the

favourite—in the Opinion of thernajor-ity-for that honor appeared to be a young lady hailing from Masterton, Although tho hall was uncomfortably full, all enjoyed thomselves heartily, and were loth to leavo the scene of I festivity when the piogrammo to conoluded.
