New Plymouth, Friday, 'Thomas King, Chairman of the fiarbor .Board, died this morning, gged 78. He w ®s ono of tho first settlers in to'" arriving here j D the "Williamßryant" in 1841. He was elected a member of the House of to iB6O. Ho. held the position of Treasurer to tho Provincial Council and was manager of the Bank of New Zealand here for sixteen years, He leavcß a "ffiflow, three bods and a daughter.
