WEDDING.
An Interesting Ceremony,
One of the prettiest wedding ceremonies over performed in Masterton, was witnessed this afternoon, at St. Matthew'B Church, when Miss Annie Eva Hathaway, eldest daughter of Mr Arthur J, P. Hathaway, of Masterton, and Mr James Kibblewhite, an eratwhilo resident of this town, were united in tho bonds of matrimony. The Bev. Mr Ballachey, of Carterton, (in tho absence of the Rev. W, E, Paige) officiated, and the church was crowded with friends and well-wishers of the bride and bridegroom. Mr J, Baillie, of Wellington, acted in the capacity of groomsman, and tho bride was attended by six charming maids, The dresses worn by the principals vero all procured from England, and pronounced by lady admirers to be most exquisite, The young bride who looked exceeding well, was attired in a handsome dress of white corded silk, trimmed with chiffon and orangeblossoms, bridal wreath aud handembroidered veil, fastened with a splendid diamond crescent, A gold and poarl braeelot, the gift of the bridegroom, completed a most artistic and costly costumo. A large and beautiful boquet, (procured from Ohtistchurch) the present of the best-man, was also carried by the bride, The bridesmaids were the Misses Minnie and Dora Hathaway, Miss Nellie Kibblowhite, Miss Emily Nicol, Miss Sarah lorns, and Mies Lottie Aitken, all wearing picturesque and radiant oostumes of pale blue crepon and silk, with cream lace epaulettes, white felt hats, trimmed with whito and blue surah Bilk, tan shoes and gloves, Each wore a gold topaz brooch, tho gift of the bridegroom, and they all carried bouquets o£ yellow chrysanthemums,
The brides' mother was dressed in a costume of black Merveilloaux with black lace mantle, and woro a pretty bonnet of laoe carrying a neat bouquet of violets. As the procession left the Church, tlio wedding march was played by Mr Cbas. Clifford. A ball in honour of the event will be held this evening, Mr and Mrs Kibblewhite leave Masterton this afternoon cu route for Nciaon, where they intend spending the honeymoon, and will carry with them the best wishes of a largo circle of friends for their future happiness and prosperity,
