Greytown Hard Cases.
A largely attended meeting of the " Hard Caso" Football Club was held at the Firo Brigade station last Saturday evening. Mr A. Maguire was voted to the chair, It was resolved the name of tho club bo "Hard Cases" as before, The following officers were unanimously elected President, Mr 8. Haigh; vico-Presi-dentsjtfessrs W. Udy, Gallon, Webflter and Dr, Smith; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr J, K. Hornblow; Captain, Mr Fd. Hawke; Working Com-> mittee, Messrs F. Jones, A. Maguire, J. Brunton,H, R, Wood and the Secretary; Match Oommitteo, The Secretary, Captain and Mr T. Ilaigb; Custodian, Mr T, J. Wright. It was decided that tho colours of tho club be red and blue, narrow stripes, and that no member will bo allowed to play in a match without wearing a jersey, ilso that the subscription be 2s Gd per member, anil that the Working Committee wait on Mr Hare (lesseo of the late Mr o!Connor's : :kf,: I
property in Kurutawhiti-street) and endeavour to procure tho front p»ddock for both'practices and matches. Mr F. Jones very kindly offered to give caps to the first fifteen, provid* ing that all wear tho sumo coloured jorsoys. A vote of thanks was passed to him for his generosity. About eighteen mombors gave their names in for jerseys, which will ho procured from Mr R. H. Smith at a reduced price. Amotion una passed, regretting that Mr Morris E, Wood will shortly bo leaving Greytown for Pabiatua, and acknowledging bis good sterling qualities as a member of the club, A vote of thanks to tho chair then terminated the meeting.
