MASTERTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

Monthly Meeting, j ' Tho regular monthly meeting of the Masterton School Committee was held last evening, there being present Messrs E. Feift (Chairman), R. M Galloway, Z, M, Hoar, W, Easthopo, C. E. Daniell and W. Fragcell. MINUTES. •*■ The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. TItEASURKn's REPORT. Tlio Treasurer's report showed a crodit balunco at da>u of £l4 13s. CORRESPONDENCE was received from the Secretary to the Education Board ro application for furniture for the new lufant School, stating that the Board could not go to any ftinher expense, ami ' pointing out that the 'uruiiuro from tho old school should to used. Tho head teacher reported the average attendance to he 478 with COO on the roll, being an average of 70%. Miss Keeling reported an average JBwPttendnnce of S2 with lOGon '.be roll. It was decided to receive Miss Rcimet'sclineider'si resignation wh regret and tho Committee expressed their thorough satisfaction win the manner in which she has discharge d her duties during her term of oHicc. The Secretary was instructed to call for tenders for tho supply of aevou cords of two foot mairo firewood.
