[By Telegraph,—Press Association.] Greyuoutii, March 8, A petition is being taken round tbe Grey district for signature, praying tlio Government to make arrangements with tho Midland Eaihvay Company to complete the line on ut basis to allow tbo company a guarantee of 3 per cent on half a million, and throw the lands open to settlomene, mining and timber cutting to be under the existing laws as before the company's contract was entered into,
