MAURICEVILLE ROAD BOARD.
Ordinary Meeting, Tho ordinary meeting of tho MaHiicevillo Road Board was hold on Saturday, 25th inst. Present Messrs C, Poisberg (Chairman), C. Tait, J. Bannister, J. F. Hecklor, and P. Anderson, The minutes of tho previous raeetr ing were read and confirmed. Messrs Webb and Co., wrote requesting that a culvert noar Mr Jackson's house bo shifted to a position better adapted for carrying off the surplus water than its present situation, Mr Tait was authorized to get such alterations made as ho considered necessary to improve the road, as soon as sufficient funds were in hand. Tho Commissioner of Crown Lands wrote desiring fullor information roKardrnKjimpeiiditiire of thu Thirds fro tho sections in the Mr L, A, Schow dosired the Hoard to fell tho bush on road line bordering his property, The receiver of Land Revenue informed the Board that Thirds amounting to £646 10s Sd had been paid into its account at tho Bank. Mr A. Fulkner laid before the Board tho plans for Mt, Bruce Road and it was decided that tenders ho called for the formation in about a week, by which time the specifications and working plans would be ready. It was also decided that tenders be invited for carting metal on the North and Smith Manricoville Roads at per yard per mile. Mr Heckbr reported that, as Trranged at last meeting, he had seen Mr Kennedy who had promised to support the movement for raising a loan for Ihuraun road, It was arranged that Mr Heckler see some of the other parties interested in the road and report to nest meeting,
Mr Jackson interviewed the Bonn) regarding llio Thirds aecuing from big section No. 7 Block IV, Mikimiki, Ho was advised to communicate with the Commissioner,
Mr Tounquist also waited on the Board re fond access to his property. Ho stated that at the time ho leased tho land the Gomnmmt issued plans showing a road to the section. The owner of tlio section through which this road passes affirms that it is no legal road, and threatens to prevent Mr Tounqmst using it. Mr Tounquist has appealed to the Land Department but with no satisfactory result, It was suggested to him that that ho bring tho mutter under the notice of tho Minister of Lands or Mr Hogg, M.H.R,
