FLOODS NEAR AUCKLAND.
The Heaviest Euer Known. (By Telegraph.—Pross Association). Auckland, Monday. Tho flood in thoKaihu Valley, near Dargavillo, is tho heaviostoverknown. It has mado a clear sweep of the Maori plantations, houses, sheep, pigs, and poultry being swept away. One Maori child being drowned, and several pooplo had to escape through their roofs. The Kai Awi railway bridge is blocked with drift timber, but otherwise is not much damaged.
