AKITIO ROAD BOARD.

A meeting of tho abovo Board was held on Thursday last. Present :- Messrs Uandy3ido (Chairman), Murray, Foreman, and Armstrong. From Surveyor-Genoral re grant to Aohanga Gorge road. From Commissioner of Crown Lands re returns of accrued thirds and fourths. From J. Honnessy, resigning his work as surface man to tho Board, and applying for payment for cutting drain at Gloncoo, Keeolved.—That in reply to tho Department of Lands, the Clerk he directed to say that the cost of openine; the Aobanga, Valley Road is estimated at £7OOO, and as the Board baa no engineer, suggest that the Government undertako the work, tho Board to contribute an annual Bum towards the cost.
