Autumn Show,

llio autumn show of the Greytown Horticultural and Industrial Sooioty waß bold in the Palace Hall yesterday, There yjere not so many oxljibits as last year, but in quality they were superior. A large number of school*, children (admittedgratis) were present in the afternoon, and in the evening the ball was fairly well filled with adulte, the Greytown Private Brass Band kindly rendering selections. In the cases of no competition special prizes were awarded where merited, Messrs Spearink (Featherston), Cooper (Wellington), S. Haigh, A, L, Webster, Rides, and B. W. Tate'officiated as judges, Special praise is due to the pining efforts of the bright and energetic Secretary (Mr John L, Kees) in the fulfilment oi hip ardu'ou? duties, In pot plants the show was weak, the only prize awarded being to Mr Geo. Wilkie, who secured special first and second for coxcombs, Tbe following were tho prizetakera I Cut Flowers,
