MASTERTON HOSPITAL.

Meeting o] Trustees.

The usual monthly meeting of the Masterton Hospital Trust was hold in the Masterton Building Society's office yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon. Present-Messrs J, 0. Boddington, J, B.Keitb, G. S: W. Dalrymple, B. P. Perry, and theEev. Father MoKenna. The Rev, Father McKenna said as it was the annual meeting he had much pleasure in moving that Mr J, 0, Boddington be again elected chairman. He bad carried out the duties so well and took so much interest in the work that they could not select a better chairman. MrDalrymplo seconded. In his opinion they could not possibly havo a gentleman at their head who would do them more credit. Mr Boddington, in reply, said he felt no ono could tako a greater interest than he did in the working of the hospital, and while thanking them for their flattering remarks hoped to continue to merit them. i MINUTES, Tho minutes of the last meeting were road and confirmed. treasurer's report. HOSPITAL ADDITIONS, The Chairman said that with regard to the repairs to the Hospital addi* tions, a good carpenter was now employed, and was rectifying the faults. Father McKcnna paid, as visiting member, he had taken notice of the man and agreed with the Chairman

As he (Mr Boddington) understood the matter, the cost would not be charged to the Trust. A letter was received from the Pahiatua County Council, asking if a man named Teesdale, who was cently injured by being thrown from a horse, would be received into the Hospital.

The Secretary informed tho meeting that tho matter had been referred to Dr. Hoakingand tagl,with, A communisaW' was received from tho Public Trust Office stating that tho claims for patients fees in the estates or Messrs Shanaghan and Jog, Dougan, deceased, would be met, A request was received from tho Secretary of tho Wairarapa Hospital District Board, (hat the estimated receipts and expenditure of the Mastcrton Hospital for the year 1898-94 ho furnished.
