Meeting of Stewards, A nieetingof stewards of tho Wairarapa Hunt Club was held at tho Empiro Hotel, last Saturday. The treasurer's balance sheet was read and tho treasurer received instructions to bandit over to the Gonoral Treasurer. ANNUM MEKTING. There weio ivero thirty members present at tho annual meeting. The minutes of the previous meetingamlpf a special meeting wero read ami confirmed, . Tho report and balance-sheet a? already published were rend and adopted. Some dissnssion took place over Mr Roake's proposal. Mr Eoake asked for£lso to cover initiatory expenses and stated the cost of kennels to be £l2 and rent £l2.
Resolved that a special general meeting be hold lo consider the rules and make amendments,
Mr Roako's proposals were accepted and an agreement entered into with him. It was resolved that tho General Committee bo instructed to pay Mr Eoake LIBO on a first instalment, as soon as it can be collected.
A petition was received from certain members, asking that Hunts be hold on Thursdays.—lt was resolved to instruct the General Committee to fix the days in accordance with the wißbos of tho various localities. lie the steeplechase course. It was resolved to expend a sum bo exceeding L 7 in filling up an awkward gully. ELECTION OF OFFICERS, The following gentlemen were elected:—Master-C. P. Vallanco; Deputy Maßter—o. E. Bidwill ; Treasurcr-U, McSbane; Secretary— W. McKcnzie, The following Oommittee wero appointed:—Messrs W. McKonzie, W. Hawko, W. B. Buiok, W. Hirsohberg, J, Macara, Harold Welch, W. Williams, T. Kay, T. Weston, Eenall, Grace, J. Armstrong, Prootor, Strong, Tully, 6. Hirschherg, S. Izard, H. A, Wilkinson, W. 0, WilHtois, A, Mackintosh, A. McKcnzio, C. Tully, T, Benton and C. Pbarazyn, "En number of hunts.—Mr N. Grace was in favour of reducing tho number rather than have them once a week, It was deoidod to disoues tho question at tbe special meeting. Mr Eoako asked if it was the inton-J tion to hunt hares. Mr Bidtvill replied that that would bo tlono if possible, , It was decided that Mr Roako spend a sum not exceeding £l2 on kennols and stables at Carterton.
