With regard to the first point, it is not on the ground of religion that wo object to the arrival of these COO Jews, Our action would bo precisely the same if they wero Christians or Mahometans, As regards tho next point, wlnlo admitting that the Jows in the colony, are goood citizens, it surely does not follow that 500 paupers (wilh more to follow) sont out by acharitable aid society is a desirable advent; and, as to tho third point, it is distinctly the duty of a Liberal WRjßjSfient to protect its cwn people, whose happiness and welfare uro in its keeping, from an influx of paupers. Surely you should be the first to condemn the hearties and reckless action of that so-called chaiitahle society in sending out these poor people without oven consulting the Government of tho colony to which they are to be deported.
