The entry of both cattle and sheep was largo, somewhat exceeding what was advertised, and the quality of tho • cattle waß superior, a good many fat *<* and forward bullocks being comprised "IK amongst the numbers. With scarcely any exceptions every line of cattle changed hands, though weexperienced a dull sale for sheep, particularly aged ewes, and several lines were passed in, not teaching the reserves. We quote: Fat and forward bullocks, £i 13s 6d to £6 2s j 2 to 2J year steers, £3 lis to £4 ss; 12 to 18 month steers, £2 7s to £8 4s; fat cows, £4 5s to £4 10s. Sheep: Ewes and lambs, 9s; 4 tooth woolly owes, lis; woolly lambs, 4s 9d.
