MISTAKEN IDENTITY.

Auckland, February 1. A remarkable discovery was made in connection with the man who committed suicide in tho Albert Pnrk some weeks ago. At tiie timo of the' inquest a man named Oliver identified the body as that of Thomas Glienali, a miner, with whom lie had worked for years on the West Coast, This morning a man, who gavo his name as Thomas Cbenall, appeared at the police office and informed Detective Grace that he was the man who ii was supposed, on the evidence of Oliver, had committed suicide, He had been in Auckland for upwards of 20 years, and during the last few weeks had been harvesting in the country, Several people here recognise him. He bears a close resemblance to tho mail who committed suicide, but says that he knows no man of the narno of Oliver. The latter is at present in gaol. It is not known who tho man who committed suicide was,
