DOMESTIC TRAGEDY AT WELLINGTON.
A H/lan Shoots his Stepfather. (By Telegraph.—Press Association,) Wellington, Thursday. As tho outcome of a domestio quarrel in a cottago on Parliament Steps this morning, James Grainge shot bis stepfather, George Love, in the shoulder with a revolver, |Che parties were quarrelling last night, and Lovo getting tho worst of it, is said to havo been thrown outhide by Grainge. Early this morning Love made an assault on the house, bieakiug some windows, whereupon Grainge run upstairs and procured tiie revolver, «nd filing at, Love, shot him. The wound ia not daugerous, aud Lovo will be ablo to give his depositions at ilie police station this morning. Grainge fired a second shot, but it did not tako effect, Grainge appeared at tne Police Court this morning, churged with shooting with intent to do grievous bodily harm. He was remanded.
