This district has never been very Strongly represented on the Education Board, as country residents are, as a rule, unwilling to be nominated, No Maßterton resident has ever sat on the Board, and yet a town of this size has an undoubted claim to a position on a body of this kind. If the Masterton School Committee were to put in the claim by nominating their present Chairman for one of the present vacancies, it would perhaps call attention to the fact that the Wairarapa North needed a direot representative. Mr Feist, if he consented to a nomination, might or might not be returned on a first candidature, but he would certainly receive a considerable measure of support, and probably many School Committees in this neighbourhood would be thankful to see him como forward,
