Lowes & lows Stock Sale Report.
Masterton, 26th January, 1893. At yesterday's sale there was a good entry of sheep, and a number of uncatalogued entries were yarded and sold well. Tbe Bale was conducted in a heavy downpour of rain. The bidding for store sheep was decidedly slack, A good number of lines were passed in, but everything was afterwards sold privately, except two small lots, the vendors agreeing to a slight reduction of the reserves, Wethers sold at from 10s 3d tollsGd for light mutton; merino wether mutton 8s; mixed ewes and wetbers 10s Id to 10s Cd; lambs from 6s Gd to 7s Gd; shorn lambs 6s fid ; hreoding ewes from Gs Gd to Bs, for superior fresh full mouth. Plain fat cows up to Lsl2s Gd; milk ,cows 95s to LB 10b ; 2 year steers 70s; store cows 60s; weaners 21s to 81s. Pigs, weancrs, good sorts, 9s; sows, 255, There was a large attendance and considerable interest manifested throughout the sale, although buyers were disinclined to speculate,
