UPPER TAUERV ROAD HOARD.
The ordinary meeting of tbe above Board was held on January 7ili, 1808. Present—The Chairman, Messrs Maoßae, Rutherford, Miller, and Perry. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE
was received from Mr J. Wingale enclosing cheque in payment of rates, and requesting the Board to have tbe road put in order tip to tbe Taueru River; and also offering to put to rights the buggy crossing on the road to Manswa by placing in culvert and filling for the sum of 30a, From Mr H. Wilton, requeuing the Board to have some repairs done to the approach to the river at Bideford, Audit Office, applying for payment of Audit fee 18s dd, Mr A, 6, Wakelin requesting sorviceß of the roadman to make sledge track on tho Mungorai road line as promised. tChtts. Lang, requesting tho re fourths sb signed by him to to the Commissioner of Crown 'Commissioner of Crown Lands circular and plans re fourths ncoruing from the small grazing-run rents, Messrs Brown, Skerritt and Doan, re rates on sections 10,20,21, BIV, Eopuaranga, Treasury acknowledging payment of L2015s 4d being half year's interest on loan. Mr MoLeod waited on tho Board requesting the services of the roadman to place in two culverts and to clear the logs off the Wainuiomapu road to enable him to haul timber for building, Mr Mackay waited on the Board, asking that the Muugerai track promised by tho Board should bo proceeded with at once, Mr Herbert Wilton waited on the Board, requesting the services of the roadman on Wilton and Poulsen's line of road, on the sanio conditions as last year., It was redflKt MrWingato bo granted tßewnn of 30a. to do the work required on tho road to llanawa, and that tho services of the roadman be granted Mr MoLeod. It was decided that the work on tho Mungerai road, promised some months bock, should be proceeded with aB soon as tbe work for Mr Mcleod is done; and that tho roadman shall |;o to Messrs Wilton and Poulsen's road os soon as tbe work already promised iB completed. It waa resolved that the plans from tho Lands and Estates office shall bo marked in accordance with the desires of the settlers, and sent in to tho Crown Lands Commissioner. The Board decided to allow tho
roadman to obtain a man to assißt him for a month. amounting to £lB is 3d Qgjprworo paßßed for payment. The next meeting of tbo Board will be held on the first Saturday in March;
