MASTERTON HOSPITAL TRUSTEES.

Monthly Meeting. The ordinary monthly meeting of the Masterton Hospital Trustees was held in the Borough Council Cham, here, yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon, there being present Messrs J, 0, Boddington (Chairman), J, B. Keith, W. H. Beetham and B. P. Perry. MINUTES. The minutes of the last ordinary meeting and two speoial meetings were read and confirmed. TRWSUREs'S REPORT. The Treasurer's report as read to tbo meeting showed a debit balanoe of £39 2s Bd. AMOUNTS, The following accounts were passed for payment :-G. Heron, 9a; Mrs Cole £l Bs9d;H.Jones,fi216s 6d; 0. Natuscb, imperfections in the additions to the Hospital were receiving attention. The Ohairman thought, the delay was an advantage, as it gave ut greater opportunity for the timber to get dry and show all imperfections, Mr Beetham said he thought very green timber had been used in buildfag.

BEPORIS. The_ custodian reported that there were six male patients' in the Hospital at the beginning of the month. Three males were admitted during the month and three discharged, No female patients are at present in tbe Hospital. H. flosking suggesting the appoint-. raent of Dr Alex Donglasas assistant surgeon, and pointing out that such a step would be advantageous to the institution, Mr Boddington said he. had much pleasure in moving that Dr Douglas be appointed.
