Ordinary Meeting. The usual monthlj meeting of the Featheiston Koad Board was held on Saturday, there being presentMesßrs A, Matthews (Chairman), Martin, Hume, W. Bidwill, J. conversation with Mr Patterson the road through section 71, Moroa. It was decided that Mr Patterson be communicated with that the Board might know tow to proceed in 'the matter. From C, W. Jackson asking when the Waiohino road would bo open as his children could hardly got to school owing to tho bad state of the present road. From C. Elgar, offering a loan of £OO toward the construction' of the road through Mr Harris' property. The offer was accepted. It was decided that a meeting of a committee consisting of the whole of tho Board be held at 2 p.m next Board day, to consider the question of Mr Elgav'B road, with all interested in the matter. From W, J. Buck, complaining of the bad state of the Nikau Valley road. It was decided that this matter h~ seen to as shortly as possible. From the Assistant SurveyorGeneral, asking the Board to apply tor a loan of .£350 in connection with the Ruukokopatuna road, TENDERS, Mr E, Kolly's tender, 13s Gd per chain, for work on Stony Creek road, waß accepted, Tlie Overseer's report was rend, Resolved, that £2O be granted tho Waiohine River Board, in consideration of the protection of ihe road by the river works. The Gverseerstated that it would be necessary to fill up the diuin in front of tho Kaiwaiwai Publio Hall. The Chairman of the Works Com» rniiiee reported re. the gates erected on Lucas road by 111 Cole, Mr Cole attended in person, and gavo his reasons for ceoting the gates, It was resolved that Mr C. Phillips be allowed to tako a few loads of j gravel from llodge's Pit. Mr W, Bidwill asked that Mr Deering, the overseer, be allowed to superintend the erection of protection works on the Tauherenikau river by the Wairarapa Racing Club, as the Club would probably ask for assistance from the .Road Board on account of the protection to the road and bridge,—The request was granted. Mr McLeod stated that Mr Douglas has done considerable work on tho Buakokopatuna Road and asked that he be compensated,—lt was resolved to grant Mr Douglas £5,
