AKITIO ROAD BOARD.

Ordinary Meeting. . A meeting of tbe Akitio Road Board was held on Thursday last, Preeeut. Messrs, Handyside (Chairman), Armstrong, Foreman, and Murray. The minutes of tbe previous tnooting were read and confirmed. The Treasurer reported balance in Bank £6O 6a Od. A letter was read from Commr. of Crown Lsnds for information in regard to the expenditure of thirds and fourths on the AohongaYalley road;' The Clerk was directed to order the necessary timber for tbe Bridge at Akitio, and to again apply to the Minister of Lands for a grant to assist in opening the road at the gorge, Glencoe. .

Accounts amounting to £52 la Od were examined and passed for payment, and the meeting adjourned.
