WKUiWaioir, Friday, Mr Beellmtn, commissioner, opened the euquiry into the death of Ah OhinfJ at the Asylum tbis morning, but there wus no appearance of tbe petitioners, A letter was received instead from Mr Jtllicoe, their oounsrf, complaining that they could not go to the expense of bridging wit* uesses who might not be considered necusflary by the commissioner-Dr. Haoon of Christchuroh being one, They had aßked for reasonable assistanco and reasonable opportunity to prepare the case, and the request being refused Mr Jellicoo said he was unaMo to take part in the enquiry. Mr Brandon, on behalf of Dr Fookes, said the latter courted the fullest en-, quiry. Mr Beetbam said he would probablygoonwith tlieenquiry.bat in the meantime would adjourn it till tomorrow in tho Supreme Court,
