The annual report of the Northern Boot and Shoe Manufacturing Com" pany shows the net result of the year's operations to be £IBO, but that the balance to tbe credit of the ProGt and - Loss account was £1,894, an increase on any previous returns known. The had debts and working expenses aro less per cent than on any previous occasion. The chief factors in the small profits are the increase of wages and the reduced selling prices, due to experimental trading by people new to the trade. r^~'
