Meeting of A meeting of the Stewards of the above club was held on Friday night . at the Club Hotel, Maaterton. After several routine matters had. ' been dealt with, the following business j^' was transacted:— < , i \ Mr T, W... Shaw waa. appointed ! Clerk of the kales, vice Mr E. B, : Hare who is unable to be present at the coming race meetiug. It was decided not to allow any betting on the course other than by the medium of the totalisator, for which a legal permit bad been issued, . a notification to this effect to be advertised a week previous to the Races,
The reserve prices to be set upon he privileges were considered, and the Secretary was authorised to deal with .hem in the event of their not beingmid at auction to-dav.
Messrs J, andD, Casclberg wero proposed and oleoted new members of ;he Club.
The Stewards' duties as follow for Boxing Day tor Steward, Mr 0. Cowper j Signal Steward, Mr E. B. Chamberlain; Leading-in-Stewards, Messrs A. Walker, H. Yates, and W. Cameron; Weighing-in-Siewards, Messrs A. Henderson and T. D. Thompson. ■& Several subscriptions were - uStJr} handed iu, and business being completed, the meeting adjourned.
