FATALITY AT TIRAUMEA.
Drowned Wile Bathing, (By Telegraph-Own Correspondent,) Pauiatua, Saturday. News was receivod here late on Thursday night that a young man named McKinley, whose age is about 17 years, had been drowned in tho Tiraumea River, near Kaitawa. It appears that Mr bell and the young fellow had been working together in the vicinity of Mr A, Knoxs section, and after finishing work decided to go into the river for a swim. His companion, Mr Bell: being under the impression that his mate could swim took no notice of him until his attention was attracted to the unfortunate man struggling in a deep hole. Mr 801 l went to McKiuloy's assistance and got bold of his arm, but was unable to get him out, the drowning man dragging him doivn as well,
Constable Cooper "went out yesterday, but up to early this morning no trace of the body hud been found. It is thought that it is caught hi a snug ut the bottom of the hole.
