NATIVE MINISTER IN OTAGO
A Large Claim. [By Telegraph,—Press Association,] Dunedin, Friday,, The Hon Mr (Jadman visited Kaik, at Otago Heads yesterday, whero he WBB hospitably received, The occasion waa a notable one, as, though the late Mr Sheehan onee visited Kaik, he did so unofficially and this was the first time a Native Minister had paid an official visit, After greetings questions ofNativeclaimßfora"tenth" of the land comprised in the Otago block and for tho Dunedin Boat Reserve in Princes Street, or its value (the claim amounting in all to considerably over one million pounds) was opened, The claim is being prosecuted by MrT. K, Ellison, solicitor, of Wellington, and Mr K. Carrick, agent. The Minister let the meeting dearly understand that lie considered the Natives had no olaim either in respect of the "tenth" or of the Boot Reserve.
