NAPIER HARBOUR.
Extensive Improvements, (By Telegraph,-Press Association.) Napier, Wednesday. Captains Roso, Babot, Davidson, Cameron, and Todd, who were employed by the Napier Harbour Board to report on the proposed extension of the harbour havo prosented a most favourable report. They, however, recommend in view ol the tendency to increaso the size of ocean going steamers, and of tho future extension of the trade of the port, that the western mole should bo carried out to the Auckland rook, and the bveak> water thrown moro out to seoj increasing the area of deep water enclosed to 120 acres, The engineer coincided with this, and with modifi cations of the plans, the work could bo done with the monoy now available. The Board alter discussion unanimously agreed to adopt the extension. Tho consulting captains reported that Napier would then possess tho best artificial harbour in the Australian Colonies.
