The. Egmont Farmers' Union, M Limited, in Haweiu, December 1. We held a very successful sale at Okaiawa on Friday the 25th ult.The ■. principal feature was the stook offered 'A by Mr J, P. Loraax, his flook of sheep . being well worthy of notice. In addition to tho aforesaid there were a largo number of cattle and a few lines of sheep entered, so that our yards wero over-crowded and we hardly knew what to do for space. The attendance was large and bidding exceedingly brisk throughout, so that the bulk of the cattle sold, but although there was keen competition for the.sheep most of them were passed in, not reaching the reserves,

We'quote: Fat bullocks, L 6 8s to L6l4s; forward bullocks, LI 14s to L 5 17s; 18 months to 2 year steers, L2l4a to L3lss; cows m calf, L 3 2s Cd to L4lßs; mixed yearlings, L2 8s to L2 14s. Sheep, woolly ewe hogget*, 14s 7d, Our monthly horse fair was held in-S the Union Yards on Saturday the 26th ult. There a very large entry of horses, amongst whioh there were a few useful backs and trap horses, but a .large percentage o' those entered were & class that was.. not much sought after so that we haW~' only a dull sale. We would again mention that there is a good demand for really first olass draught horses. We quote: Harness horses, LB2s 6d to Llßj haoka, L3loa to Ll2. Our fortnightly sale in the Glover Road yards, Hawera, was held on Wednesday the 80th ult,, there being a large number of cattle and sheep yarded and a good muster of buyers, The sale was brink throughout and we are pleased to say most of tho stock sold.
