MASTERTON TOWN LANDS TRUST.
Ordinary Meeting.. Tlio ordinary monthly the Alasterton Town Lands Trustees was held last evening in the Borough Chambers. Present,: Messrs W. Lowes (Chairman) J. Graham, E, I'eist, H. E. Eton, 8. E. Gapper and A. \V. Renall, MINUTES. The minutes of tho previous meet* ing were read and confirmed. FINANCE, The statement of accounts was road showing a credit balance of £49 lis and liabilities amounting to £2BB. An account for £4 10s from MesirsJ. Payton & Co. was passed for payment. GOIiBE BPONDENOE. Mr P, Gill mote offering £7' for a stable adjoining his property, This he considered was a fair valuation. Mr Renall thought they had no power io sell any property bolonsjin? to the Iruat, If they could sell a stable for • removal they could sell a houso. It Was resolved to send a reply la Mr Gill informing him that tha Trustees had no power to sell tha stable. LEASES. . She Clerk painted out that certain leases in Kellilier's estate in Lincoln fioad, and a section held by Mr Bunny at the coruer oi Dixon and Clmrchnstreet would fall in at the end of the present month. The Chairman said it would bo neoessary to sao that the.conditions of the lease had been fulfilled. Mr Feist moved that Messrs Lowes, Gapper and the mover be a committee to attend to the matter, and make necessary arrangements for receiving the property. The motion was carried. THE OORSE NUISANCE, Mr Gapper thought some immediate steps Bhould be taken to cloar the gorso from the Trußt property opposite the school. *lt was resolved to have the gorse grubbed up on the vacant section and to send a noto to Mr MoGregor asking him to attend to the portion oi the property leased by him. BRUOB-STREET. Some discussion took placo re overflow of wator on to a vacant section in Bruco street, belonging to the Trust. It was decided to again draw tha attention of the Borough Council to the matter, and ask that steps be taken to form the street. No other business coming forward the meeting adjourned.
