CASTLE POINT ROAD BOARD.

i f A misting of the Board was held on . Saturday last. Present: Messrs Maun- ' sell (Chairman), Langdon, Eldor and , Andrew. The minutes of tbe previous meet* ( ing were read and confirmed, CORRESPONDENCE. I Conespooducce was read from— Mr Uelliss re rates overdue, From Messrs Cameron Bros, re repairs to Makiri road, From Mr Hoard re transfor of land for road from lea. From Commissioner of Crown Lands re payment of thirds and fourths, From Colonial Treasurer conditionally approving of loau for Mura-roa-Aunedale road. GENERAL RESOLUTIONS, The collector was directed to take immediate proceedings against defaulting ratepayers, It was resolved that the rate of wages for roadmen be 7s per day from the Ist of tho current month. That five pounds bo voted for opening tho road through Mr McKenzie's property. That a sum of £IBO be voted for expenditure by tho Council on the main roads. That a further sura of £5 133 6(1 be granted lo complete repairs on Whukaroro road. ACCOUNTS. Accounts amounting to £23 lis were examined and passed for paylnout. It was agreed that the schodulo from tho Commissioner of Crown Land 9 be left until the amount of thuds and fourths increases. Tbe transfer of the land from lea will bo completed as soon as the necessary fences are erected.
