A False Statement (By Telegraph.—Press Association), Wellington, Friday. TheWoodville Knights of Labor recently passed a resolution stating there was no truth in the Minister of Public Works' reply in the House, that the Knights of Labour had asked lor an enquiry into certain matters connected with tbo Co-operative Railway Contracts, The Department will publish letters received from prominent members of the Knights, officially asking for an enquiry, which shows that if the body itself did not prefer the request,it wascertainly made on its behalf and in such a way as to lead the Minister to suppose it was authorised.
