DEATH OF AH OLD WAIRARAPA SETTLER.
We regret to liavo to record the death of another old settler—Mr Peter Hume--of Taunui, Lower Valley, who died yesterday morning at 7 o'clock. The deceased, who was eighty-two years old, has been slowly breaking up for the past 12 months, and was suddenly taken ill about three days ago, He was attended by Dr J. 0. Smith, of Greytown. Mr Hume was born in Edinburgh, in the year 1810. He was well esteemed by all with whom he became acquainted, and leaves a large grownup family to mourn their loss. His remains will be interred at the Grey* town Cemetery to-morrow (Thursday) afternoon,
