The Racing Conference. The programmo of the' business to toe transacted at the Wellington Racing Conference is as follows: 1. Hon Captain Eussell to move: " That the draft ruloß and constitution of the New Zealand Jockey Club be l adopted, subject to such amendments • as may be made by this conference," 2. HonJ.D.Oraond;" That tho rules for the registration of trainers, jockeys and apprentices be added to the rules of racing." 3. Dnnedin Jockey Club to move: " That the Conference take into consideration tho frequent breaches of Rule IGB, and prepare an agreement suitable to the terms of (lie said rule as between employer and employe 1 ; a copy of samo to bo forwarded to each Metropolitan Club, with a recommendation for its adoption." 4. Canterbury Jockey Club to move:" That rule 22 of the totalisator be struck out, and that the following words be added to rule 14, after the word "commission" in the second line " less tbe amount of the State tax," The proposed amendment to take effect at the close of the curront season." 5. Wanganui Jockey Club to move —" That rules for the regulation of Hunt Club race meetings be added to the Rules of Racing." G. Hon Captain Russell to move—- " That the Conference tab steps to put down the" walking totalisators,"' 7. The Greymouth Jockey Club to move-" That clause 6 of rule 22 be altered to read as follows:—" Any club holding two meetings in the year must givo an average of £250 per diem in stakes," The following correspondence will aiso receive attention:—Letters from Mr W, Guffe, president of the Maniototo Jockey Club, and from the Beefton Jockey Club with reference to the increase in the added money, and a letter from Mr C. O. Miles, Secretary of the Manawatu Racing Club, asking the Conference to receive a deputation from the racing clubs on the West Coast of the North Island with reference to tho formation of Metropolitan Committees.
