Hawera, November lOi We held our fortnightly stock salo in the Stratford yards on Friday, the ■ithinst, The entries were slightly iu exoeia of what wero expected, though the attendance wag rathor small. Biddmg was spirited, however, and with ono trifling exception every thing was disposed of in the sale yards. We quote:—Springers and cows in oalf, £3,16s 6d to £5 ss; 2 year steers, £3loa to £3l4s Gd; mixed weaners and yearlings, £1 lis to £2 Us. Our Manaia sale was held on Monday, the 7th inst,, owing'to our regular day falling on a public holiday. The yards were fairly well filled with cattle atid sheep, but as it turned out there was not enough stock entered to supply the requirements of purchasers, so some were obliged to go away disappointed. Everything was 1 sold under the hammer, and lull: values wefe realised. Wo quote:—Fat and forward buK locks, £5 lis 6d to £6 7s; store bullocks, £i 18s to £5 ss; 18 months to 2 year steers, £8 4a to £Blßs 6d; 12 to 18 months mixed cattle, £llss to £2 15s; fat cows and heifers, £4 Is to £l6s6d; springers, £8 10b to £6 15.
