WOODVILLE A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Woodyille, November 11. The first show of the Woodville Central A. and P. Society was held today. Although the weather was showery tho show was a great success, and over 3000 spectators attended, The show was specially strong in tho exhibition of horses, in which'claßS alone thero were 159 entries. The single judge system was adopted, H, M. Nelson's Toby won the hunters' competition; Mrs Carlile's Alice second. North Island was awardod the first prize in the thoroughbred entries, and Quinlivanfc's Wandorer second. Harding and Sons' Gladstone was first in the draught entries, and Bird's Marquis of Salisbury second. H. Gaisford and Harris Bros carried off the awards in Lincoln sheep; W, N. Miller and Halliday in Roraneys, and H, Monteitu and S.Bolton,inSlirop» shire Downs. Cameron and Christie, U of Wellington, showed two dra separators at work, and Mason,. Struthers and Co., two do Laval separators and other dairy appliances. Levin and Co showed shearing machinery. The exhibits in dairy produce were few in numbor.
