PALMERSTON SHOW.

A Big Sucoess, (By Telegraph.—Preaa Association.) Palmerston North, Thursday, Upwards of 11,000 people were present at the A, mid P. fc'how yesterday. The total number of entries was 023. Tliero was a grand show of horses, Forester heating Sotnnus in the thoroughbred stallious, The champion draught was Manager. In sheep there was a fine display and especially in Eomnoy Marsh, In Lincolns Mr Tanner of Hastings, had champion ram, andMr W. Wilson, of Whonuakura, chauipiou ewo. In Romney Marsh, Mr li. Harding, of Hastings, had champion ram, and Mr W, B. Allen, of the Wairarapa, champion ewe. The show of Shropshire was poor, hut the exhibits of fat sheep oxcelleut. Show cattle wore the best yet seen here, Ayrshires, Jerseys, or Alderneys being especially good. Champion Bulls were;— Shorthorn, J. W. Mer; Hereford, G. W. Wheeler; Polled Angus, W. A. Keller; Ayrshire, W. Luxford; Jersey or Alderney, Mrs J, Crawley. The show of fat cattle was exceptionally good, Mr McHardy having the champion bullock, Tho display of implements was the best ever seen on tho coast. The Hunter's Competition was contested by 38 horses and won by Mrs Tanner's" Alma," Mr Wool* oons' Tomtit being second,
