THE HALF-HOLIDAY QUESTION.
Hostile Demonstration at Dunedin. A Shop Front Smashed. (By Telegraph.—Press Association,) Dunedin, Monday. On Saturday last a hostile demonstration was made against those shopkeepers who deolined to fall in with tho Saturday half-holiday movement, Customers were hooted and groaned at, the footpath was blocked and a large plate glass window in ono establishment was smashed, Tho demonstration had the effect of making most of the shops draw down their abutters.
