THE ALLEGED MURDER AT WAIKOMITI
(By Telegraph,—Press Association.) Auckland, November 3, Tho stomaoh of Win. Thompson, whose mysteriouß death at Waikomiti is the subject of police investigation, has been given to Mr Pond for analysis. Thompson was a barrister and tbo son of a brewer at Burton onTrent, England. Ho arrived iu the Colony about live or six years ago, and was thou fairly well off, but lost money by various investments. He afterwards purchased land at Waikomiti and settled there, intending to engage in fruit culture. His widow is a young woman, 26 years of age. They had threo children, one of whom died recently. Scott, who is charged with tho rnarder of Thompson, is a young man, whose conduct is said to bo sometimes erratic,
