MAURICEVILLE ROAD BOARD.
The ordinary meeting of the Mauricevillo Eoad Board was .held on Saturday, the 29th October. Present —Messrs C. Foralwrg (Chairman), J, F. Hccliltr and J. Bannister. v Tho minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, and correspondence outward. The lieceiver of Land Revenue notified the Board of a payment of thirds amounting to £127 IGa Bd, and also gavo result of some enquiries at tho treasury rc thirds due to tho Soavd. A communication was received from the Clerk of the Mnsterton Eoad Board, suggesting that a conferonco should take place between the Mas* terton and the Mauriceville Boards re alteration of boundary line between the two districts. The Chairman aud Mr J. Baunietef were appointed to discuss tbo matter with the Mastortou Board, and it was decided that Mr Bannister arrange with Mr Moore as to the most suitable time for holding the conference.
j Mr T, T, Hillaa wrote, requesting to erect two gates on the road passing through his property, and that the thirds from his other sections be used to form this road. It ■was decided to grant his request with regard to the thirds, and Mr Bannister was appointed to see him about the gates. Several EOttlm, having property fronting the Ihuraua Road, in tbo Alfredtou and Mauriceville Road Districts, petitioned the Board to raise a loan of £7OO to form tho Ihuraua Eoad from the termination of the present formation to the junction with the Central Mangamahoe Eoad. The Board decided to tsko the matter up, provided tho co-operation of the Alfredtou Board could be got, Mr Heckler was authorised to spend a sura not exceeding £lO in replacing a culvert and other repairs to the formation on the Central Mangamahoo I Eoad. Cheques amounting to £lO5 15s ®n passed for payment. Kateß <ptected since last meeting amount to £77 17s lid.
