HORSE SALE.
Messrs Lowes and lorns held a large and successful sale of horses at their Masterton yards yesterday, and being the day after the Agricultural Show a very large audience was in attendance, A good entry of unbroken ■rflight harness and brake horses met a ready saleat satisfactory prices varying from £7 to £l4; ponies, unbroken, £l2 the pair. Draught mares, good sorts, L2s'to L3O; three-year-old fillies by Vanquisher to 25 guineas; geldings from 18 to 29 guineas; light draughts, brokenj 5 to 8 years old, Ll6 to Jj2Q; dog-cart horses, shown in harness, L 25; backs from 1/710s to L2O, CoDßiietmg the large number of horses this onterprising firm have sold during the last six months the above sala may be considered most successful, over 60 ohanging owners, and only 'draught mates' with high reserves being passed in, as high as 40 guineas being refused. 29th October, 1892,
