SUSPECTED MURDER AT NELSON.

At an 6»rly hour this morning information was given to the police, that an old man named George Matthews, aged seventy-eight, bad been found lying dead on the floor of the stokflholecfthemalthouse, where he was employed, A serious wound waß found on the ,J back of his head and the brain matter protruding. ■ A dootor has given it aB his opinion that the wounds must have been produced by foul play.
