(By Telegrapli.—Press Association.) Wellington, Wednesday. The Eight Hours Demonstration Committee passed n resolution last night, congratulating tho Hon. J, Eigg on his appointment to the Legislative Council and expressing approval of other selections which had been mado to represent the Labor interests. An Executive Committee, consisting of representatives from all trades in Wellington was appointed to make arrangements for a banquet tobe lenderedto the Hon. J, Rigg at an raily date in honor of his call to the Council.
