The sheep were not so numerous as usual, but the quality ™ superior, In Merinos, Douglas MoLcan almost swept the bowl, carrying off both the ohamP/€i3bips and beating three sheep rkWly imported from A, J. Murray's celebrated Victorian flock, exhibited by the Woburn station. The Lincoln Earn Championship was easily taken by J..N*. Williams, with a magnificent sheep just imported from the Kirkham stud flock, The judges deolared this to be the finest Lincoln over exhibited in New Zealand, The champion cwe, exhibited by A, MoHardy, was bred by J, B, Sutton. R, Harding took the most Bomney Marsh prizes. W. Nelson was, however, most successful in the Leicesters and Bhropshires. In the cattle Archdeacon Williams was tho principal prize taker. Archdeacon, which bout Oxford Roan Duke, champion of tbo principal shows in Otogo anJ Canterbury. Only shorthorns were exhibited. Mr Douglas' Torpedo was tlw clinrapion I thoroughbred stallion, and Mr Doug-1 las McLean's Marquis of Salisbury was tho champion stallion, Pigs and produce woro not well represented, but the show of implements was the largest ever seen on the Hasting's ground.
