EKETAHUNA NOTES.
(From Our Own Gotresjjondmi) Despite the bad weather, a great many people came into Ektitahuna yesterday to attend Messrs Lowes & ilorus' Bale. I am given to understand that we are to bare fortnightly sales in future. There seems to be a great demand for dairy stock in this district and several lines have changed bands lately at very good prices, Mr Crewe is calling tenders for additions to his sale yards, the ones he boa at present not being large enough, A meeting of those interested in the formation of a Dairy Factory in Dketabuna was held last night to see what steps could be taken re establishing one in this town, A committee of gentlemen was appointed to procure information on the subject and report to a public meeting, to be held in a fortnight's time, It is intended if possible to erect creameries atHastwell, with a central factory in Eketahuna, The settlers are taking a keen interest in the movement, and a great deal 'of support baa already bgen promised, I think there would be no aifllbulty in'disposing of all the sbaree in and around Eketahuna in a very short time.
