DISTRICT COURT.
MASTERTON.—FRIDAY. (Before His Honour, District Judge Robinson), BANKRUPTCY BUSINESS, The application of W, F, Sinolair for his discharge was adjourned till next sitting of the Court. Henry King applied for his discharge, Mr 0. A. Pownall appeared for the applicant. Mr Bunny, on behalf of the Official Assignee examined the applioant. Henry King, on oath, stated that tho statement made by him was a true one. It represented the whole of his estate. His solicitor held the lease of a bush section. Mr Bunny asked that the lease be produced. Mr Pownall objected,no notice bai jug been given, and because the lease might be impounded, It was not the properoy of tho Official Assignee, Mr Bunuy pointed out that the Official Assignee was not aware of the bankrupt having an interest in this bush section until after the bankruptcy was declared closed. Considerable argument followed. His Honor said he was not perfectly dear on the point and required time to consider, lie did not feel disposed to commit the bankrupt for not having brought the document, Mr Bunny pressed for a ruling on the point before the examination was proceeded with, His Honor said that a reasonable way out of tho difficulty would be for Mr Pownall to produce the document upon the Court agreeing not to impound it on tho point of production, Of course, steps might be afterwards taken to compel the production, or commit the bankrupt. Mr Pownall agreed, and tho document was produced, being the lease of section 29, Block IV, Mangaone Survey District. His Honor, after further argument, adjourned the application for discharge until next sitting of the Court. Applications for the closing of the estates of W. W, Moller, R, R, Dunn and Hans Hansen were granted. No farther business was brought forward.
